Makhaf Heavy Duty Machinery is a supplier of heavy-duty diesel generators, solar panels, inverters, batteries, solar accessories, and EV chargers, operating from Bloemfontein, South Africa. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECT Act), and all other applicable legislation.
We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of the website or services after amendments constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
2. Products & Pricing
All prices displayed on our website are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate (currently 15%) unless otherwise stated.
- We stock diesel generators (single phase and three phase) from brands including Hyundai, FAW, Cummins, PERKINS, Volvo Penta, SDEC, Scania, and Baudouin
- Solar products include panels, inverters, batteries, and solar accessories
- EV chargers and related equipment are also available
- Prices are subject to change without prior notice due to exchange rate fluctuations and supplier pricing
- We make every effort to ensure pricing accuracy; however, in the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel or amend the order
- Product images are for illustration purposes and may differ slightly from the actual product
3. Ordering & Payment
By placing an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products. An order confirmation does not constitute acceptance; acceptance occurs only when the products are dispatched or we confirm acceptance in writing.
- All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of payment
- We accept payment via EFT, credit card, and other methods as specified at checkout
- For large generator orders or custom solar installations, a deposit may be required
- Full payment must be received before dispatch unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing
- We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order at our discretion
4. Delivery & Shipping
We offer nationwide delivery across South Africa. Delivery timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed. For detailed shipping information, please refer to our Shipping Policy.
- Delivery times vary depending on the product, destination, and stock availability
- Large generators and heavy equipment may require specialised transport arrangements
- Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery to the specified address
- You must inspect all goods upon delivery and report any damage or discrepancies within 48 hours
- Delivery costs are calculated at checkout or provided in your quote
5. Warranty
Products sold by Makhaf Heavy Duty Machinery carry manufacturer warranties as specified for each product. Warranty periods vary by brand and product type, typically ranging from 1 to 2 years for generators and solar equipment.

- Warranty claims must be submitted in writing with proof of purchase
- Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, negligence, improper installation, or unauthorised modifications

6. Returns & Refunds
In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, you have the right to return goods within 14 days of delivery under certain conditions. Returns are subject to the conditions outlined in our Return & Refund Policy.
- Goods must be returned in their original condition and packaging
- Certain products may be excluded from returns due to their nature (e.g., custom-configured generators, installed solar systems)
- Refunds will be processed within 15 business days of receiving the returned goods
- Return shipping costs may be the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Makhaf Heavy Duty Machinery shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:
- Use or inability to use our products or services
- Any interruption or cessation of service
- Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in product descriptions or pricing
- Loss of data, revenue, profits, or business
- Delays in delivery or non-delivery caused by circumstances beyond our control
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the purchase price of the product(s) giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under South African law.

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, product descriptions, and software, is the property of Makhaf Heavy Duty Machinery or its content suppliers and is protected by South African and international intellectual property laws.
